Ube drinks
Iced ube latte recipe
An iced ube latte is the cold version of the purple latte: ice-cold milk, a layer of ube and that beautiful purple swirl in your glass. Lightly sweet, creamy and caffeine-free.
The secret lies in one step: first whisk the ube powder with a little hot water. Then it mixes perfectly, even with cold milk.
Ingredients
- 2 to 2.5 g UBE.25 ube powder
- 20 ml hot water at approximately 80 °C
- 180 ml cold (plant-based) milk
- A glass full of ice cubes
- Optional: 1 tsp sugar syrup or agave syrup
- Optional: a shot of espresso
Handig om te hebben

Stir and drink immediately.
Attention
Powder clumps in cold milk. Whisk briefly with a little hot water to dissolve the clumps—so little water that your drink stays ice-cold.
Variations
- Dirty iced ube latte: pour a shot of espresso over it at the end, or make the layered ube coffee with espresso.
- With cold foam: top it with a layer of ube cold foam.
- With matcha: try the layered ube matcha latte.
- Use syrup instead of sugar: it dissolves better in cold liquids.
