Ube (pronounced oo-beh) is a purple yam from the Philippines. We grind it into a fine powder, so you can make a coffee-shop-style ube latte at home in 2 minutes, for a fraction of the price.
Why UBE.25
- 2026 harvest, hand-selected from more than 100 small-scale farmers in Luzon, Bicol and Mindanao
- No colouring or added sugar: the purple colour comes from the root itself
- Stored in refrigerated freezers to preserve its fresh taste and colour
- Recycled packaging that blocks light
- Ordered before 11:59 p.m. on a working day, shipped the same night
Ingredients: ube powder (99.7%), natural vanilla (0.3%) for a gentle aroma and a rounded flavour.
Naturally: vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free.
Contents: 100 grams, makes approximately 50 lattes.
The ube powder from UBE.25 comes from the fertile lands of the Philippines, where small-scale farmers have cultivated this purple root for generations.
The rich tropical soil and warm climate give it its naturally sweet, nutty flavor and deep purple color.
After harvest, the ube is peeled, gently steamed, slowly dried at a low temperature, and finely ground. This helps preserve its flavor and color as much as possible.
Warm ube latte, in 2 minutes
- Add 2 to 2.5 grams of ube powder to a bowl or cup. That is about a level teaspoon.
- Add 20 ml of hot water at about 80 °C and whisk until lump-free.
- Top up with 180 to 200 ml of warm (plant-based) milk.
- Sweeten to taste. Ube is already slightly sweet on its own.
Iced ube latte
Whisk the powder with 20 ml of hot water and pour it over a glass of ice and cold milk.
Ube cold foam
Whisk 2 to 2.5 grams of powder with a splash of cold whipping cream or barista oat milk until light and fluffy, then spoon it over your coffee or matcha.
More flavor or a deeper purple? Feel free to add an extra spoonful. We recommend 2 to 2.5 grams, but you decide.
